Studio News Summer Edition 2024

Welcome to the 2024 Summer Edition of The Underground - Recording Studio Newsletter.  This summer has been an amazing one for the studio and for music in Randolph in general!

First off, let us begin by highlighting Make Music Day ’24 in Randolph, Vermont, which happened on June 21st.    It was a wonderful day of music, featuring an eclectic selection of artists performing at various venues and locations around Randolph and organized by Vincent Freeman of The Underground in collaboration with Candler Center for the Arts and the White River Craft Center.

The list of performers included Dobet Gnahore, Krishna Guthrie Band, DJ Denisova, Ali T, EZ Tyger, Path of Totality, The Village Idiots, Fiona and Emmett Stowell, Em and Nat, and yours truly, Dave Wrong with Brian Tonks.    You can view the online article from the The White River Valley Herald that covers this event here: Randolph’s Day of Music - The White River Valley Herald (ourherald.com)

Also in June, Andy Wyatt released his Album Uplift, which was in part recorded at The Underground.

Featuring a large band of instrumentalists that included a horn section, Uplift is a powerful statement about the need for love and light in dark and uncertain times.   Andy’s CD release party took place at The Skunk Hollow Tavern in Hartland.  Andy put on an awesome and energetic show with boundless enthusiasm!  You can listen to and also purchase this album on his Bandcamp page right here: uplift | Andy Wyatt (bandcamp.com)

Additionally this summer was good to up and coming metal band Miles of Fire, who recently released their self-titled EP. You can listen to it below 👇

On August 1st, local pop punk legends, Suburban Samuri released their EP, Sorry About Last Time . Their release show was Saturday August 24th at The Underground - Listening Room. Check out their Bandcamp page for this release.

Lastly, let's not forget the 2-year anniversary of The Underground - Listening Room, which has been featuring many great and diverse acts since it started up on July 22nd, 2022. Cheers to many more years!
